I was in a bicycle accident in Florida. Can I sue?

Yes, if you are riding a bicycle in the state of Florida and you're in an accident, you can sue. Florida law states that cyclists are treated as motorists while they're riding their bicycles on the road in the state of Florida. Therefore, you enjoy the same rights as motorists to recover damages for your medical bills, for pain and suffering, lost wages, property damages, wrongful death and other causes of action, just like a motorist.
