If I am injured while riding my bicycle in Florida, can I sue the driver that hit me?

Yes, if you're injured while riding your bicycle in Florida, you can sue the driver that hit you. In Florida, cyclists are considered to be motorists, and therefore, they have every right to be on the road just like a motor vehicle does. Therefore, if you are injured in an automobile versus your bicycle accident, you have the right to recover for all of your damages, including your medical bills, your property damage, pain and suffering, lost wages, wrongful death, and many other causes of action.
