Statistics show that the four most common causes of bicycle-automobile collisions are: a car turning left into the path of an oncoming cyclist, a car running a stop sign and pulling out in front of a cyclist, a car passing a cyclist and then immediately making a right hand turn into the path of that oncoming cyclist, and rear end collisions.
