This is a very empowering thing to say.

No matter how adamant or confident you may feel about your situation upon being arrested, know this: You may only have one time to get this right.  An error in judgement here or an inadvertent comment or statement can be fatal in the outcome of your judgement.  We have had cases where clients have made statements, that even though they were true, the officials in charge of the case wrote mistakes in the report, and the client signed the report without noticing slight nuances that made the case more costly and more difficult to defend.
