Are there parties other than the at fault driver against whom I can take legal action in a Florida auto accident case?
Well, it’s going to depend on the situation, but the answer is, yes. There are other parties that you could look to recover damages for, for the injuries you received, other than the at-fault party when it comes to a car accident. For instance, if the accident took place at an intersection and there was an obstruction that was blocking your view from being able to see into that intersection and you had to drive past an unsafe place in order to enter that intersection, or in order to make sure that that intersection was clear, you could possibly go after that land owner or that business owner.
The same also applies if there’s signs that are placed that would obstruct your view. Also, if you were involved in a car accident, or other type of accident that involves an employee, or an employer of a certain individual that was operating that vehicle, and that person that is operating that vehicle has a bad driving history, it’s possible that you could go after that employer for hiring that individual under the negligent hiring tort.
