What if the officer says they will go easy on me if I cooperate?

What if the officer says they will go easy on me if I cooperate?

That's a statement I hear quite often from my clients, that when they were talking with the officer, the officer had informed them that if they cooperated or gave them what they wanted, that they would lower their bond or they would make sure that they told the state that you cooperated. The fact remains is, if you're in my office retaining my services, you have either been charged with a crime or arrested. If that's the case, how easy did the officer go on you? It's always best for you to consult with an attorney before you talk to an officer, and that's regardless if you decide if you're going to cooperate with him or not.
