Will a Client Lose Their Case Without a Divorce Lawyer?

Posted by Michael G. Butash | Nov 29, 2018 | 0 Comments

There are attorneys today that focus on dealing with divorces as there only field in terms of legal representation. This is because dealing with a divorce is a life changing event, and there are many emotional and legal issues that the average person may not be able to handle on their own. Yet many people think that you only would hire a lawyer to help them win their case, but this is not true. With a divorce lawyer, Balm residents do not need to take their advice, nor do they need to use them as representation in a court setting. It is rather uncommon, but it is not unheard-of for people to handle a divorce without any legal representation.

Why a Client Would Not Use a Divorce lawyer

There are a few instances where it is not uncommon to see an individual represent themselves without the help of a divorce lawyer. Balm residents for example, that have great knowledge for legal proceedings and representation in court from being a lawyer themselves, will most likely not need a lawyer. This can help an individual save money by representing themselves, but this is never recommended, even to experienced legal professionals. It is also common for a couple who agree to a divorce to only use one lawyer to get the legal paperwork filed because there is no conflict with terms or conditions.

Are They Destined to Lose Their Case?

Although legal representation is important to give you your best chance in court, it is not impossible for someone without representation to win their case. There is no law indicating that if you do not have legal representation, such as with a divorce lawyer, Balm residents are automatically projected to lose their case. It will definitely increase your chances of winning your case, or getting the most out of the situation as possible, but it is still not a requirement to seek out legal representation, even though everyone should.
