What are the standardized field sobriety tests?

The standardized field sobriety test or field sobriety exercises are a series of tests and/or exercises that officers give you to determine if they feel that you normal faculties are impaired and you're unsafe to drive. That includes them giving you what's called the HGN or horizontal gaze nystagmus test where they look at your eyes. That also includes the walk and turn where you take nine steps forward and nine steps back. It includes the one-leg stand where you would stand on the leg for 30 seconds. It includes the finger-to-nose test where you touch the tip of your nose. Also, the Romberg alphabet test, which is where you say the alphabet. They're not going to ask you to say the alphabet backwards because that's a not a standardized test.
