Gay/Same-Sex Family Issues

Butash Law Group is excited and proud that Florida has begun the process of legalizing and recognizing, among other things gay/same-sex marriage, divorce, and parent/child relationships. Yet being involved in the protection of our clients’ civil rights for collectively over 25 years, we understand that there is much work to be done to clarify, expand, and strengthen the family law rights to which gay couples and parents are currently entitled in the State of Florida. Butash Law Group advocates for same-sex couples and parents and understands that in addition to the problems and stresses that heterosexual people endure in family law cases, members of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender community (LGBT) face additional issues that often present obstacles to their pursuit of equity and justice. Sadly, no lawyer can eliminate all of the barriers and prejudices that the LGBT community endures in family law matters; however the experienced lawyers and staff at Butash Law Group can make the process of enforcing their legal rights and achieving a just outcome to their family matters easier and quicker than it otherwise might be.
