How does bail work in Florida?
The purpose of bail is to ensure a person’s presence in court. There are a number of factors the court is going to consider when setting a bail amount. What those factors include are, the type of charge a person is charged with, the likelihood that that person committed that charge, that person’s prior record, the ties that they have to a community, such as how long they’ve lived in a community. Do they have any loved ones or relatives in the community. Do they work in the community or do they work in other counties or even out of state.
