How does collaborative divorce work in Florida?
Collaborative divorce, often referred to as divorce without war, is relatively new in Florida. The way it works is the two parties get together with their lawyers and a financial professional and a psychological professional outside of the courtroom. They have several meetings. They try and reach an amicable resolution on all of the issues surrounding the divorce. It is designed to be less hostile and put everybody in a better position moving forward at the end of the divorce to have happy and healthy relationships with each other.
