Yes, finally LGBT couples can get married, and they can get divorced in Florida. They share all of the same rights as heterosexual couples, as far as the marriage and divorce statutes are concerned. There’s no differentiation between the two. The only thing I would caution you about, if you are LGBT, and you’re considering getting married is I know it’s exciting that the law has been passed, and that everybody is allowed to get married now, but don’t get married just because you can. Get married because you really want to because I don’t want to see you in my office looking for a divorce, if it can be avoided.
