If tragically your child was injured or killed while riding his bicycle in Florida, you do have rights. You have the same rights as if your child were in a car and he were killed in Florida. You can sue the other motorist’s insurance company for any damages for wrongful death. If it was an uninsured motorists, you may be able to look to your own automobile insurance or your own homeowner’s insurance depending on how those policies read and what different options you’ve selected for coverage.
