What is an ignition interlock device?
An ignition interlock device is a device that placed on the steering column of your vehicle that requires you to blow into it before the vehicle will start. It’s going to be ordered on your vehicle in certain situations, if you have prior DUI’s and if you have a blood alcohol level that’s above a certain level. Interlock devices can be placed on your vehicle for 6 months, a year, and up to 2 years. It’s going to depend on your prior driving history.
