What is liability insurance?
Liability insurance is insurance coverage for damage that you or someone in your household may have caused to another person or another person’s property. There are two types of liability insurance. There’s bodily injury liability, which is obviously going to be damage to another person’s body or person. Then, there’s property damage liability insurance, which is obviously damage to somebody else’s property. In Florida, the only required liability insurance is personal injury protection and property damage liability. However, bodily injury coverage may be required dependent on your driving record by the Department of Motor Vehicles.
