What is a criminal arraignment? Will I be released on bail? Should I take a plea at an arraignment?
An arraignment is where a person is advised what they have been charged with, and the Court will ask you to enter a plea. That plea can be one of three things. You can plead not guilty, guilty, or no content. Before you enter any type of plea, I suggest that you contact an attorney to go over your case. You never really want to take the first offer that the State gives you. That doesn’t mean that the offer is going to change, but at first, you want to at least seek legal counsel to review and see if that’s in your best interest. contact your attorney Tampa.
