What is the difference between a temporary restraining order and a restraining order after hearing in Florida?

The difference between a temporary restraining order, or a domestic violence injunction, and a restraining order or domestic violence injunction after hearing is that when a party initially files for the domestic violence injunction and the court grants it, it grants it on a temporary basis, because it’s only heard one side of the story: the petitioners. Then, the injunction is served upon the respondent, the other party. A hearing is set within 1-2 weeks so that that other party can come into court, along with the petitioner, and both sides tell their story to the court, and then the court determines after that hearing whether or not to make the injunction permanent.
